The Emerging Markets team at Google were looking for a team who could conduct customer research across India, Africa and SE Asia to help them assess potential opportunities and build a strategic approach to enable Google to capture mobile-first user segments at a time where Facebook were considered 'the Internet'.
I led the SE Asia team (working with a graphic designer, the client, local videographers and research agency) to conduct customer interviews and create compelling videos capturing insights and consumer behaviours. My work also involved delivering a report that assessed key opportunities, key segments and recommendations to approach acquisition of new users.
The project concluded in the deployment of a successful B2B partnership strategy that enabled Google products to be promoted and deployed into what we deemed as key influencer groups -students and teachers and SMB audiences.
